July Comments

Compared to the June situation, in the middle of the Greek crisis the portfolio this month managed to claw back a 1.72% loss going from -1.50% Gross Yield in June to the 0.22% Gross Yield in July. Gross Yield performance taking into account exchange rates would bring me to a 2.83% performance of the stocks.

EBITDA also improves (of course) thanks to the dividends and the recovery from a -2.88% to a -1.35%, of course commissions are going to play a big role in the calculation here, but they will for years to come.

Time is not right to proceed with further cleanup, mostly because I will have losses for tax reasons, exchange rate and so on, so I need to be patient there and wait for the opportunity to make the corrections that the PF needs.

New calculations for the prospected average dividend yield of the PF returned a nice (theoretical) 2.55%, this also is going to improve thanks to the cleanup as I will start letting off some stocks that have really little meaning in the PF. In real terms if the dividend get me something around 1.5% YOC I have all reasons to be happy. We’ll see what happen in August! 🙂

  1. Stalflare,

Very nice portfolio! We have quite a lot of companies in common, but you also hold some stocks that I wish to add to my portfolio in the near future. I also really like your sector diversification as mine is rather similar.

    Keep it up,
    NMW

    1. Ciao NMW,

Thanks for stopping by! 🙂 It’s still a long way to get where you are mate, but I am glad to know that some stocks are in common, it means that I am not picking things totally at random 🙂 I have several stocks in my whilst, but I will hold it off for some time as I have too many assets and I need to clean up things a little…
Thanks for the support, ciao ciao
